Here’s a Conference idea for you!
From Terry Fix, President, Modesto (CA) PCUG (He included this information in the e-mail he sent to his members about the conference): “In the past, some MPCUG members have attended this conference—and have learned a lot about what’s new in technology and even something useful about the technology we have right now!
Also, in years past, the MPCUG Board has authorized monetary assistance to some members who have attended the APCUG Technology Conference! At the next board meeting—I will “propose” that we give 2 members attending this conference at least $100 to $200 each—providing they bring back lots of information for at least 2 presentations at our monthly meetings.”

- D&O (Director & Officer) Insurance Survey
A group in Region 3 asked if APCUG member groups have D&O insurance. We’ve been asked that question before so Judy Taylour sent an e-mail to Presidents and Treasurers asking if their group has D&O insurance. Thanks to the 115 groups that answered the question: 11 groups have D&O insurance and 1 group said it was none of her business. Several replied they used to have it but it is too expensive ($700-$800/year).

Your copy of the Q3 issue is attached. Please make sure all of your officers and committee chairs have an opportunity to read it and feel free to forward it to your members or upload it to your website. You will also find a copy at: http://apcug2.org/reports/
