At our workshop starting at 7:30 pm we’ll discuss recent vulnerabilites as they affect the computing world–focusing on problems posed for Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and Fedora.
I’ll propose a possible solution of what to do with old unused hard drives that contain private information. I’ll be interested in any arguments against my procedures brought up by attendees.
We occasionally install or help to install a Linux distribution on an old computer if the hardware functions properly otherwise. Typically we jointly troubleshoot software and hardware issues at our meetings.
Attendees range in experience from beginners to advanced when using Linux. So bring your laptop, and/or projects using boards such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi and show us a thing or two as well. If inclined, give a presentation on a Linux-related topic.
