Of interest to more than just Apple users, this month we’ll talk about live TV streaming services that require just an internet connection and may allow you to ditch your cable or satellite provider. I’ll talk about the two services I’ve tried, PlayStation Vue and DirecTV NOW. Other services include Sling TV, and more recently YouTube TV. Even Hulu has just announced a beta for their own live TV service. These services typically provide a selection of cable channels, and some local stations as well.
We’ll also cover dedicated TV channel streaming apps that allow you to watch past episodes of shows or replays of sporting events, if you authenticate with your cable, satellite, or in some cases one of the above streaming TV services.
