This is an exciting and exceptional opportunity for anyone who wants to create good video, regardless of your experience, in an informal environment at a facility with professional equipment, a television studio, and an experienced staff member on hand.
It will be hosted for DACS by Charter Communications, 11 Commerce Road, Newtown, CT. This first session will begin with a brief tour of their facilities and then we will decide where our interests lead us and set the agenda for future workshops. We can explores all aspects of video capture and production including how to create good video using smartphones and tablets as well as using professional cameras and equipment used in Charter’s TV studios. We will discuss video composition, framing, lighting, and sound, the editing process and techniques for adding sound tracks, titling, and other creative effects. We may even do our own studio production.

From Danbury – Take I84 to exit 10, turn left off the exit ramp. Go past the Blue Colony Diner then turn left at the traffic light onto Commerce Road. Travel 0.4 miles. There are two Charter Communication buildings. You want the second building on the left, just past the bend in the road.
From Waterbury – Take I84 to exit 10, turn right off the exit ramp. Cross over I84 and go past the Blue Colony Diner then turn left at the traffic light onto Commerce Road. Travel 0.4 miles. There is plenty of free parking in front. Walk to the front entrance. Once inside there will be someone to greet you or if you arrive late, just follow directions to get let in.
