DACS is pleased to have Al Fressola, Esq., a partner in the law firm of Ware, Fressola, Maguire & Barber LLP, speak to us about Intellectual Property and technology.
Al will discuss the multiple aspects of intellectual property such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets and how these apply to technology with emphasis on their application to computer software. Al will share some examples from his extensive experience and looks forward to responding to questions from attendees.
The law firm of Ware, Fressola, Maguire & Barber LLP was founded in 1921 and is located in Monroe, CT. The Firm specializes in international intellectual property law.
AL FRESSOLA graduated from the University of Connecticut with an Honors B.S.E.E. and an M.S.E.E. Then he received an Honors J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Al was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1973 and then to the Bars of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals – Second Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Al is also a registered patent attorney. He has served as the Chairman in the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He holds memberships in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the University of Connecticut Computer Science and Engineering Advisory Board.
