Location: DACS Resource Center, 198 Main Street (lower level), Danbury CT
There were no Social Media Workshops in June or July, so as a follow up to our very popular May meeting at the DACS Resource Center, we are now setting the stage for our fall social media meetings by making sure your technologies (and YOU) are in-sync with the other workshop members.
Here’s how:
AGENDA: We’ll be covering these areas at the August workshop:
- DACS NETWORKING SESSION with DACS members via your Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin accounts. Sharing your experiences with each platform, if any, are most welcome.
Discussion will include:
TWITTER: what to listen for? Who to follow? Saying thanks to new followers. Asking quick questions. Blocking users you don’t want.
FACEBOOK: Friending & unfriending. Photo albums. Who to tag…and not?
LINKEDIN: Profile streamlining. Basic connections. Reaching out for other connections.
- CREATING A TTT LIST (Topics, Trends & Timeline): Building a DACS database of interests, both individual and business. Your input welcome.
Active interaction while brainstorming from scratch, a DACS TTT list (Topic, Trends & Timeline) chart of contacts and companies. Your input is needed.
- Plus: popular platforms to explore before the 9/23 meeting: INSTAGRAM, REDDIT, PINTEREST, YELP, YAMMER, FOURSQUARE, NUMEROUS. A brief overview of each will be presented tonight as well.
- SPECIAL PROJECTS: Specific real-world assignments between and among workshop members. Small group combined projects are encouraged, based on your interests.
