After a winter hiatus, the DACS Web Design workshop/SIG will start up again on April 19, 2016.
Contemporary web development now almost always uses some form of Content Management Systems. Plain HTML coded pages have become outdated and inefficient. My own preference is for WordPress – it’s becoming more and more popular for all kinds of websites, so most of my future meetings will include WordPress to some degree. We’ll discuss it’s pros and cons, theme editing, customizing and more. There’s a never-ending and constantly evolving amount of information to learn!
At this meeting we’ll take a close look at a new WordPress website developed by Andy Woodruff. He has generously offered to present how he created this attractive website: http://www.sofiachiarandini.com/. We’ll take an in-depth look, both from the site visitor’s perspective as well as the administrative settings. Join us to learn from his process, and provide your feedback!
